The University of Akron’s WeRiseTogether website, launched in February invites alumni, friends and supporters to join its historic capital campaign links previous generations of Zips to the future aspirations of current students, and weaves the story of the success of all. The website tells the story of the UA mission – elevating our people, our place and our promise.
The interactive website, which has a look and feel that coincides with a targeted brand awareness campaign reaching prospective students and their families through digital and streaming services, makes sharing a gift easier than ever. There, Zips separated by decades, yet joined by a shared campus spirit of determination.
The ZipAssist Emergency Technology Fund raised nearly $99,000 through the support of donors, many utilizing the website. This fund provided new and upgraded technology for students in need in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic which closed campus.
The campaign reflects the generosity of the Zips community and showcases the excellence of students, faculty and the institution’s unrelenting commitment to meet a new era’s challenges – new industries, innovation that strengthens business conducted in new ways.
