Composition Certificate

To be eligible for the certificate in composition, a student must be admitted to The University of Akron as a graduate student.  An eligible student interested in the program should contact the program director. Five courses in composition and linguistics are required. Other appropriate English courses in composition or linguistics may be substituted as optional courses with the permission of the director.

Applications to the Composition Certificate program are accepted on a rolling basis.

Assistantship/Scholarship Information

Not all departments offer graduate assistantships. Students should inquire with the department directly to determine assistantship availability.

Financial Aid Information

Paying for college is a vital part of the education process. It is important to be informed of the many sources of aid available. Student loans are available to degree-seeking graduate students.
