OhioLINK offers the UA community access to more than 46 million books and other library materials. It is impossible for one library to have everything, but with 90+ individual library catalogs combined into one, the resulting selection is quite impressive!  Textbooks, DVDs, novels, music, and more are available through the OhioLINK Central Catalog.  Each books has an initial checkout period of 21 days (42 days for faculty & staff) and may be renewed up to 6 times if no prior hold exists. Media materials may borrowed for 7 days, with no renewals. 

Anyone with a UA library account may request items easily via the OhioLINK Catalog and then pick up requested materials at any one of 125+ locations.  Likewise, UA faculty, staff, or students visiting another participating OhioLINK library may borrow materials on-the-spot by presenting their UA Zip Card or UA borrower's card.  Materials borrowed via OhioLINK may be returned to the owning library or to any University of Akron Libraries location.  Conveniences such as these make OhioLINK borrowing a gift to students and researchers alike.
