UA and German collaboration will raise voices in song for peace

02/20/2018

The UA Chamber Choir and Madrigalchor from the Hochschule für Musik und Theatre München are joining musical forces to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I in a series of concerts and master classes, from March 6 to 10 on The University of Akron campus.  The week culminates in a collaborative performance on Saturday, March 10, at 8 p.m. at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall. At this performance, both choirs will be performing works from various parts of the world in a concert celebrating diversity and peace.

The two choirs will combine in performances of Mendelssohn’s “Warum Toben die Heiden,” Arnesen’s “Even When He is Silent” and Moses Hogan’s “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel.”
