Consider giving your license plate a makeover by selecting a UA license plate and support our fellow Zips and the Legacy Scholarship!
Interested in participating?
- Visit the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles' website
- Under “Other Services”, select “Specialized Plates Availability”
- Select your vehicle type and continue by selecting “Search by Image”
- On the next screen select "University of Akron Seal" or University of Akron Zips"
- Once you decide between the two plates, continue and follow the prompts to check out
The cost is just $35 above the regular fee, of which $25 goes to the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship.

Since its creation, the Legacy Scholarship has been awarded to over 235 students, totaling over $235,000 in scholarship dollars.
