A new branding campaign captures the very essence of The University of Akron and the community. The campaign reveals UA’s identity as authentic and true and says, “This is who we really are, and this is what makes us different.” The video is the first brush stroke of what will become a larger picture of our polytechnic experience.

With total new freshman enrollment increasing by 3.6% this fall (4,278 students) – and the largest ever Honors College new freshman and total enrollment – The University of Akron is showing several positive enrollment trends, as detailed in the official census report that will be filed with the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Law school bucks enrollment trends

Hosts Larry Burns, vice president of advancement, and Willy Kollman, associate director of alumni and government relations, welcome leaders from UA and across the region to talk about higher education, issues of the day and all that makes the city of Akron distinctive. The University of Akron’s C. Blake McDowell Law Center will become a premier learning environment for law students thanks in part to a $2 million bequest from Mrs. Beatrice Knapp McDowell. The Law Center will undergo a total renovation beginning in December 2015.
